Draft Kings Week 15: Best Bargains at Each Position

The best way to cash on weekly fantasy football sites is to load up on as many stars with good matchups as possible. Due to budget restraints, however, fantasy players must sacrifice other positions to nab the stars they want.

Here, you'll find the top bargains at each position on Draft Kings that will let you splurge elsewhere. And remember, scoring is IMPORTANT. Here is Draft Kings’ scoring system.

The bargains are listed in the order I like them.

Quarterbacks

Tyrod Taylor, Bills ($5,700): Last week there was weird chatter about Tyrod getting benched, probably an effort by Rex Ryan to divert attention from Buffalo’s wretched attempt at stopping Le’Veon Bell. Taylor wasn’t fantastic, but he put up stats baby. How’s 228 passing yards and two touchdowns sound? Fine right? That’s the point. He barely ran vs. the Steelers, but in the previous two games Tyrod rushed for two touchdowns. He’s rushed at least five times in eight of Buffalo’s 13 games. And oh yeah, this week he gets the Browns!

Eli Manning, Giants ($5,600): Manning hasn’t thrown for 200 yards in three weeks, but don’t be fooled; outside of last week’s statistical stinker vs. Dallas, Eli has been productive. In the five previous weeks, Eli threw for at least two TDs in each game. He’s at home, where he averaged 291.8 yards per game as opposed to 208 on the road, and he’s facing the 30th-ranked pass defense in the NFL (Lions). I love him this week.

Matt Barkley, Bears ($5,000): Barkley is not great, but he’s priced as a backup. He’s got a home matchup vs. the Packers, who have a great chance of lighting up the scoreboard and forcing him to throw 40+ times. He also will have star WR Alshon Jeffery back from a four-game suspension. It’s a risk, but at least you can splurge on a major star elsewhere.

Running Backs

Matt Asiata, Vikings ($3,400): The disrespect is real!! No one ever wants to rock Asiatain their Draft Kings lineup, but let them miss out. He doesn’t get many touches, but they all come in the red zone, and near the goal line. With a cake matchup against the Colts’ 30th ranked run defense, this is tailor-made for at least one touchdown.

Tevin Coleman, Falcons ($5,000): The 49ers have a horrendous run defense – 31st out of 32 teams per Football Outsiders – and Tevin Coleman makes the most out of limited work quite often. He’s $1,700 cheaper than Devonta Freeman, so take the discount on a back who has scored in three of his last four games.

Kenneth Dixon, Ravens ($3,800): Dixon doesn’t have a great matchup vs. the Eagles, but Philly is sort of huffing and puffing toward the finish line just as Dixon is gaining a firmer grasp on the lead role in Baltimore’s backfield. Last week he saw 22 touches and put up 89 yards and a touchdown against a tough New England defense. The Eagles matchup isn’t much different.

Wide Receivers

Alshon Jeffery, Bears ($6,000): Jeffery’s whole year has been disappointing, but entering free agency he has much incentive to kill it over the final three weeks. Matt Barkley hasn’t been awful as the starter, so this could be a nice, inexpensive stack vs. a questionable secondary.

Rishard Matthews, Titans ($4,600): Matthews has been a little scary the last two weeks, catching just four passes, but Week 14 vs. the Broncos has been the only stinker. The prior week he caught three passes, but amassed 64 yards and a score. Even if he’s low volume this week vs. the Chiefs, there’s a solid chance he finds the end zone. Even more promising…the Chiefs are 26th in the league vs. No. 1 receivers.

Chris Hogan, Patriots ($3,600): The Broncos are the worst defense for a QB to face, but most QBs are not Tom Brady. Denver might slow New England down, but since Rob Gronkowski went out, Hogan has been a reliable target. In his last two games he’s totaled 12 targets, 252 yards and two scores. No matter who they face, New England’s going to score, so don’t fear this awesome bargain.

Tight Ends

Hunter Henry, Chargers ($2,900): Henry is a low-volume receiver, but, like Asiata, he makes ‘em count. Henry has scored in three of his last four games, despite totaling just seven catches in that span. He hasn’t caught more than two passes since Week 7. He’s diet Tyler Eifert, and he has a nice matchup vs. the Raiders.

Eric Ebron, Lions ($3,700): Ebron has all the talent in the world, but he’s like a deluxe version of Jared Cook. His production is very inconsistent. Nonetheless, we’re bargain hunting here, and the Giants rank 26th vs. TEs. Fire him up with confidence, and load up somewhere else.

Ladarius Green, Steelers ($3,700): Green is just starting to become integrated into the Pittsburgh offense, seeing 17 targets over his two most recent tilts. He’s supremely athletic, so expect Ben Roethlisberger to lean on him increasingly as time goes on. In a divisional matchup vs. the Bengals, which are always brutal affairs, it’s a good time to count on the tight end factoring in heavily.
